A study recently published in JAMA Psychiatry has shown that yoga can improve symptoms of anxiety for some people. The randomized clinical trial compared the effects of Kundalini yoga, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and stress education for generalized anxiety disorder. CBT showed the best results followed by the yoga; however, yoga is usually more accessible to individuals with anxiety.
